Job Description
East Africa's largest media group seeks a media lawyer to handle defamation claims, press freedom matters, broadcasting regulation compliance, and digital media legal issues. Protect editorial independence while managing legal risk across print, TV, and digital platforms.
Responsibilities
Advise editors on defamation and contempt of court risks. Handle pre-publication reviews and legal clearance. Defend defamation suits against NMG publications. Advise on broadcasting licensing and digital content regulation.
Requirements
LLB degree. 3+ years experience in media law, litigation, or constitutional law. Knowledge of the Media Council Act and Kenya Information and Communications Act.
