Job Description
KPMG East Africa is seeking an M&A Associate for its Tax & Regulatory Services team. The role involves supporting transaction advisory and tax compliance services, conducting comprehensive tax due diligence across all tax heads, evaluating transaction structures, reviewing financial models, and advising on Share Purchase Agreements.
Responsibilities
Conduct tax due diligence for M&A transactions. Evaluate transaction structures and tax implications. Review financial models from a tax perspective. Advise on Share Purchase Agreements and deal documentation. Support regulatory and compliance advisory services. Prepare tax opinions and transaction advisory reports.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business or law. ACCA or CPA qualification highly desirable. Professional taxation qualification preferred. 2-3 years experience in accounting firms, corporations, or law firms. Knowledge of Kenya tax laws including Corporate Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, withholding tax, customs, and excise duties.
