Šelih & Partnerji is seeking a Paralegal to support our Litigation practice from our Maribor office. You will assist our litigation team with case preparation, court filings, document management, and legal research for commercial and civil disputes across Slovenia's court system.
Maribor is home to one of Slovenia's four regional Higher Courts (Višje sodišče v Mariboru) and is an important legal center for the Štajerska and Koroška regions. This role provides hands-on experience in Slovenian civil and commercial litigation, making it an excellent foundation for a legal career.
Responsibilities
Prepare court filings, pleadings, and submissions for civil and commercial litigation matters. Organize case files, evidence bundles, and trial preparation materials. Conduct legal research on Slovenian case law and legislative developments. Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses on procedural matters. Maintain litigation databases and track deadlines for filing and hearing dates.
Requirements
Diploma or Magister prava from a recognized Slovenian university. 0-2 years of experience in a legal environment. Familiarity with ZPP (Civil Procedure Act) and Slovenian court procedures. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Fluent in Slovenian; English proficiency preferred.
Compensation
€1,500 - €2,000/year
