- Draft and review commercial loan agreements, credit facilities, and security documentation under the Bank Act and Personal Property Security Act (Ontario)
- Advise on PPSA registrations, priority disputes, and enforcement of security interests across Canadian provinces
- Support syndicated lending transactions and intercreditor arrangements
- Advise on trade finance instruments including letters of credit, guarantees, and documentary collections
- Conduct legal risk assessments for new commercial banking products and services
Requirements
- Called to the Bar in Ontario (LSO member)
- 3-6 years post-call experience in banking, lending, or commercial law
- JD/LLB from a recognized law school
- Strong understanding of PPSA and Bank Act security provisions
- Ability to manage multiple files and work in a fast-paced environment
