Job Description
Ali Sharif Zu'bi Advocates & Legal Consultants, Jordan's premier full-service law firm, is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Corporate & M&A practice group in Amman's Shmeisani business district. You will advise on mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures under the Jordanian Companies Law No. 22 of 1997, working alongside partners on cross-border transactions across the MENA region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead due diligence exercises for corporate acquisitions and restructurings
- Draft and negotiate share purchase agreements, shareholders' agreements, and joint venture contracts
- Advise on compliance with the Jordan Securities Commission regulations
- Coordinate with regional offices on multi-jurisdictional transactions
- Mentor junior associates and supervise trainee lawyers
Requirements
- LLB from a recognised Jordanian or international university; LLM in corporate/commercial law preferred
- Admitted as a Lawyer by the Jordan Bar Association (نقابة المحامين الأردنيين)
- 6-10 years post-qualification experience in corporate M&A
- Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken)
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
Responsibilities
Lead M&A due diligence, draft SPAs and JV agreements, advise on Companies Law compliance
