Chapman Tripp is seeking a Senior Associate for its Real Estate & Projects team at Level 34, PwC Tower, 15 Customs Street West, Auckland. As New Zealand's largest law firm, Chapman Tripp advises on the country's most significant property transactions, infrastructure PPPs, and development projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors.

- Advise on acquisitions and disposals of commercial, industrial, and residential property under the Property Law Act 2007 and Land Transfer Act 2017
- Draft and negotiate complex commercial leases, agreements for sale and purchase, and development agreements
- Handle Overseas Investment Office (OIO) applications for sensitive land acquisitions
- Advise on infrastructure projects including PPPs, roading, and water infrastructure under government procurement frameworks
- Manage due diligence for large property portfolio transactions and REIT structuring
Requirements
- Admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand with a current Practising Certificate
- 6-8 years PQE in real estate, property, or projects at a leading firm
- Strong knowledge of the Property Law Act 2007, Land Transfer Act 2017, and Resource Management Act 1991
- Experience with OIO applications and Torrens title system
