Senior Associate — Regulatory & Compliance

Dentons' Caracas office is seeking a Senior Associate for its Regulatory & Compliance practice. You will advise multinational corporations and Venezuelan enterprises on regulatory compliance, anti-corruption, and government investigations under Venezuelan law and international frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement compliance programmes aligned with the Organic Law Against Corruption (Ley Contra la Corrupción) and international anti-bribery standards
• Conduct internal investigations and compliance audits for Venezuelan operations of multinational clients
• Advise on data protection compliance under Venezuela's emerging privacy framework
• Structure compliance training programmes for corporate legal departments
• Represent clients before the Contraloría General de la República and the Ministerio Público

• Lead regulatory compliance engagements for the Caracas office
• Build client relationships with multinational corporations operating in Venezuela
• Supervise associates on compliance projects
• Contribute to the firm's Latin American compliance thought leadership

• Law degree (Abogado) from a Venezuelan university; LLM in Compliance or International Law preferred
• Registered with the Inpreabogado
• 6-9 years post-qualification experience in regulatory compliance, anti-corruption, or government investigations
• Fluent in Spanish and English
• Certification in compliance (e.g., CCEP, ICA) an advantage
