Job Description
Vinted, Europe's largest online marketplace for second-hand fashion, is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel specializing in Data Protection & Privacy to join our team in Vilnius. You will lead data protection strategy and compliance for Vinted's operations across its European markets, serving over 80 million members.
As a designated Very Large Online Platform (VLOP) under the EU Digital Services Act, Vinted faces enhanced data protection scrutiny. The role involves ensuring compliance with GDPR, the Asmens duomenu teisinies apsaugos istatymas, and liaising with the Valstybine duomenu apsaugos inspekcija (VDAI) and data protection authorities across the EU.
Responsibilities
Lead Vinted's data protection compliance strategy across all European markets. Manage data subject access requests, data breach notification processes, and DPIA programs. Advise product and engineering teams on privacy-by-design for platform features. Liaise with the Valstybine duomenu apsaugos inspekcija (VDAI) and EU data protection authorities. Develop and maintain privacy policies, cookie policies, and data processing agreements at scale.
Requirements
Teises magistras or equivalent law degree. 5-8 years of experience in data protection and privacy law. Expert knowledge of GDPR and the Asmens duomenu teisinies apsaugos istatymas. Experience conducting DPIAs and managing cross-border data transfers at scale. CIPP/E certification preferred. Fluent in English; Lithuanian is a plus.
