Job Description
The National Bank of Ethiopia seeks a Senior Legal Counsel to provide expert guidance on monetary law, financial sector regulation, exchange controls and Ethiopia's participation in international financial institutions.
Responsibilities
- Advise the Governor and Board on monetary policy legal instruments
- Draft and review banking proclamations and directives
- Lead NBE's legal engagement with IMF, World Bank and AfDB
- Supervise a team of 4 legal analysts and officers
Requirements
- LLB plus LLM (banking, international finance or public law)
- Minimum 8 years in central banking, financial regulation or public international law
- Strong policy analysis and legislative drafting skills
