Job Description
The Affordable Housing Board (AHB) is seeking a Senior Legal Officer responsible for conducting legal research and preparing legal opinions, drafting contracts and policies, vetting agreements, managing litigation, handling pre-litigation disputes, and registering the Board's documents for intellectual property protection. This is a Grade AHB 6 position.
Responsibilities
Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions for the Board. Draft contracts, policies, and regulatory documents. Vet agreements and legal instruments on behalf of the Board. Manage litigation matters and coordinate with external counsel. Handle pre-litigation disputes and negotiations. Register the Board's intellectual property and protect documentation.
Requirements
Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognized institution. Postgraduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law. 6 years cumulative relevant work experience. 3 years minimum at Legal Officer I grade or equivalent. Valid practicing license. Law Society of Kenya membership in good standing. Computer application proficiency. Must meet Chapter Six requirements.
