Settlement Attorney (Fully Remote)
About the Role
A Los Angeles-based plaintiff-side employment law firm is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Settlement Attorney to join its growing team. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys negotiating resolutions, managing case pipelines, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead settlement negotiations with opposing counsel, insurers, and other parties
Evaluate cases for settlement value and develop negotiation strategies
Draft, review, and revise settlement agreements and related documents
Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to move cases efficiently toward resolution
Maintain organized case tracking and ensure timely follow-up on all settlement-related matters
Communicate effectively with clients regarding settlement options and outcomes
Qualifications
Active license to practice law in California
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload
Experience with contract drafting and negotiation required
Prior settlement negotiation experience strongly preferred
Employment law experience is a plus, but not required
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working independently in a fully remote setting
