Department Overview
As Rakuten Mobile expands its corporate business, there is an urgent need to establish a “robust credit management system” that underpins the company’s sound growth from the ground up. Established in June 2024, the Debt Management Section is a strategic organization solely responsible for the proper management and protection of receivables in corporate transactions. Currently, the division is accelerating efforts to “detect early signs of risk” and “establish a stable revenue base” by leveraging the mobile business’s vast data-from building efficient collection processes to minimizing the risk of uncollected receivables.
We are seeking individuals who can proactively drive operational improvements and risk management based on data and logic, while maintaining respect for frontline staff, to tackle the challenging mission of maximizing revenue while maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients.
Position:
Why We Hire
In line with the rapid expansion of our corporate business, we are seeking to further strengthen our credit management framework by expanding our team.
In this role, you will not only handle day-to-day collection operations but also go beyond traditional frameworks to actively introduce the latest IT tools and data analysis methods. You will be responsible for planning and driving initiatives-such as operational automation and the development of standardized legal procedures-to elevate the organization’s execution capabilities to the next level.
At a stage where we are defining the “ideal state” of receivables management, we are seeking someone who can collaborate with the sales department to implement a consultative approach aimed at “protecting and sustaining revenue,” thereby becoming a key pillar supporting the business’s healthy growth.
Attractive Features of the Organization
- Impact that underpins business growth: In the mobile enterprise business-a critical area directly linked to the Group’s overall revenue-you will play a role that directly influences management by safeguarding financial soundness.
- End-to-end autonomy from planning to execution: From building management operations to making proposals and reporting to senior management, you will lead the entire process-from formulating your own ideas into plans to executing and validating them.
- Advancement and Standardization of Existing Schemes: Building on the existing collection schemes developed alongside the expansion of the corporate business, you will combine the latest data analysis methods and IT tools to drive further “improvements in collection quality” and “operational automation.” This role serves as the “control center,” evolving existing effective frameworks into more robust and reproducible systems while respecting their foundational structure.
- Advanced Expertise in Legal Matters: You will gain experience refining legal response strategies-including those involving collaboration with attorneys and courts-into more efficient and effective frameworks, all while maintaining a deep understanding of existing operational workflows.
- Open and Collaborative Environment: We foster a culture where team members respect each other’s expertise to tackle challenges collectively rather than working in isolation. This flat organizational structure enables open communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Career Path
- Diverse Specialized Careers: You can chart a career path along two distinct tracks: as a “Leader” responsible for organizational management, or as a “Professional” dedicated to mastering debt management expertise. Furthermore, this position serves as a crucial starting point for your career, with opportunities to expand into adjacent fields within the Rakuten Group, such as risk management and business management.
