Job Description
IDAL seeks a Trade and Export Compliance Officer to support its mandate of promoting Lebanese exports. This role combines trade law expertise with practical compliance work, ensuring that Lebanese exporters meet international trade regulations and market access requirements.
Responsibilities
Advise Lebanese exporters on international trade compliance and market access requirements. Review export documentation for compliance with customs and trade regulations. Monitor changes in trade agreements and sanctions that affect Lebanese exports. Support IDAL's export promotion programs with legal guidance. Liaise with Lebanese customs and the Ministry of Economy and Trade.
Requirements
Licence en Droit or degree in international trade or law. 2-4 years of experience in trade compliance, customs law, or export regulation. Knowledge of Lebanese customs legislation and free zone regulations. Understanding of WTO rules, EU trade agreements, and Arab free trade frameworks. Fluency in Arabic and English required; French preferred.
