Judicial Reform Specialist — Ministry of Justice, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi

This senior role contributes directly to Vietnam's rule of law development and is supported by international development partners including UNDP and the EU.
Responsibilities
- Develop policy recommendations for the Judicial Reform Strategy implementation plan
- Coordinate with the Supreme People's Court and Supreme People's Procuracy on reform initiatives
- Support the expansion and improvement of Vietnam's legal aid system
- Manage relationships with international development partners (UNDP, EU, JICA)
- Draft reports and policy papers on judicial reform progress for senior Ministry leadership
- Organise workshops and training programmes for judges and court personnel
Requirements
- 7-10 years' experience in judicial reform, rule of law programmes, or international development
- Deep understanding of Vietnam's court system including the Tòa án nhân dân (People's Courts) at all levels
- Experience with legal aid programmes under the Law on Legal Aid 2017
- Knowledge of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms (VIAC, mediation centres)
- Cử nhân Luật with postgraduate qualification in law or public policy
- Fluent Vietnamese and English; experience with international donors preferred
