Senior Advokat – Intellectual Property & Technology (Copenhagen)

Denmark's thriving tech ecosystem and life sciences sector drive significant demand for specialist IP advice. You will advise on patent litigation before the Danish Maritime and Commercial High Court (Sø- og Handelsretten) and the Unified Patent Court (UPC), trademark portfolio management, technology licensing, and data protection under the Danish Data Protection Act (Databeskyttelsesloven) implementing GDPR.

What You Will Do

• Lead patent infringement and invalidity proceedings before the Sø- og Handelsretten and the UPC
• Advise pharma and biotech companies on supplementary protection certificate (SPC) strategy and Bolar exemption issues
• Handle Danish and EU trademark prosecution, opposition, and infringement matters
• Draft and negotiate technology licensing, SaaS, and software development agreements
• Advise on GDPR/Databeskyttelsesloven compliance, data processing agreements, and Datatilsynet investigations
• Manage cross-border IP disputes across Nordic jurisdictions

• Lead complex IP litigation and advisory mandates
• Manage patent portfolio strategy for Danish and international clients
• Advise on technology transactions and data protection compliance
• Develop the firm's IP/tech practice through business development
• Mentor advokatfuldmægtige and junior advokater in the IP team

• Danish Bar admission (advokat) required
• Cand.jur. from a Danish university; LL.M. in IP Law or Technology Law preferred
• 7-12 years of post-qualification experience in IP, technology, or data protection law
• Proven patent litigation experience before the Sø- og Handelsretten and/or UPC
• Fluent in Danish and English
• Knowledge of the UPC system, EU trademark regulation, and GDPR enforcement
• Experience advising pharma/biotech clients on IP strategy is a strong advantage
