About Outreach
Outreach, founded in 2014, is the only complete agentic AI platform for revenue teams. Outreach infuses agentic AI, conversation intelligence, and assistive AI to power hundreds of use cases across revenue motions. From new logo prospecting to expansions, deal acceleration, driving retention, and forecasting, Outreach AI automates workflows and frees sellers to focus on more strategic conversations and actions. Revenue leaders benefit from connected account visibility, performance insights, and higher forecasting accuracy across every GTM team. World leading enterprise organizations use Outreach to power their revenue teams, including Databricks, SAP, Siemens, and Verizon to name a few.
About the Team
Are you a problem solver who likes focusing on commercial contracts and improving processes in a fast-growing company? Outreach’s Legal team is hiring! We’re a growing team that supports the entire organization, with a particular focus on enabling our revenue teams to close deals quickly and responsibly.
The Role
As Commercial Counsel you’ll play a key role in our revenue-side contract process, primarily negotiating customer-facing commercial agreements, while also providing additional legal support across the business. You’ll ensure our agreements protect customer trust while enabling Outreach to deliver and improve its AI-powered platform.
Location: Remote
Your Daily Adventures Will Include:
● Negotiate, draft, and review commercial agreements, primarily customer AI SaaS master service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, data processing addendums, security and AI terms
● Gather internal feedback from other reviewers in the customer contracting process – work with sales and business teams to identify requests and determine with internal departments the best approach to meeting those needs
● Protect customer data and personal data by ensuring contract terms align with Outreach’s obligations under GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, UK privacy law, and the EU AI Act
● Enforce organizational contract policies and procedures
● Assist in the evaluation and updating of company document templates
● Partner with Sales, Revenue Operations, and Deal Desk to gather internal feedback, resolve contracting bottlenecks, and accelerate time-to-close
● Identify and implement improvements to contract workflows, templates, and playbooks to increase efficiency as deal volume scales
● Support other legal team projects as needed, including negotiating vendor and partner agreements
Our Vision of You:
● 3-5 years of legal experience, with at least 1-2 years focused on commercial SaaS agreements (in-house or at a firm representing technology clients)
● Direct experience negotiating customer-facing agreements (MSAs, NDAs, DPAs, Order Forms)
● Working knowledge of data privacy frameworks (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or equivalent)
● Ability to spot issues and recommend practical, business-focused solutions that balance speed with risk management
● Understand how to balance competing priorities
● Comfortable in a high growth dynamic, evolving environment
● High level of attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and dedication to accuracy
● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating perseverance, humor, and dedication while displaying a strong backbone when needed
● J.D. or equivalent degree from accredited law school
● Active member of the bar in at least one state in the United States
● Proficiency with customer and contract management tools (Ironclad, Salesforce, Docusign) and the MS Office suite, including advanced Word skills
● Interest or experience in privacy, artificial intelligence (AI), the EU AI Act, and other emerging SaaS product topics is a plus
