Job Description
Twiga Foods, a B2B food distribution platform backed by Goldman Sachs and IFC, seeks a General Counsel to lead its legal function as the company scales across East Africa. The role covers commercial contracts, regulatory compliance (food safety, agriculture), corporate governance, fundraising, and dispute management.

Responsibilities
Serve as principal legal advisor to the CEO and Board. Oversee all commercial contracts, supplier agreements, and distribution partnerships. Manage corporate governance and board matters. Lead legal workstreams on fundraising rounds and strategic transactions. Build and manage the in-house legal team. Handle regulatory engagement with KEBS, KEPHIS, and county governments.
Requirements
Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. 8+ years legal experience with at least 3 years in a senior in-house role. Experience in technology, agriculture, or FMCG sectors preferred. Track record of managing complex commercial negotiations and investor relations.

KSh700,000 - KSh1,200,000/month
