Job Description
Landsbankinn, Iceland's largest commercial bank, is hiring a Senior In-House Legal Counsel to advise on banking regulation, capital requirements, and financial supervisory compliance. You will serve as a key advisor to the bank's executive team on regulatory strategy and risk management.
Responsibilities
Advise on compliance with prudential regulations, capital adequacy requirements, and liquidity rules. Liaise with the Central Bank of Iceland and Financial Supervisory Authority on regulatory inquiries. Draft internal policies on anti-money laundering, KYC, and sanctions compliance. Support product development and new business initiatives with regulatory impact analysis.
Requirements
Cand.Jur. or LL.M. degree. 7+ years of experience in banking regulation, financial services law, or financial supervision. In-depth knowledge of the Act on Financial Undertakings and Central Bank regulations. Fluent in Icelandic and English.
