Job Description
Landsbankinn seeks a Legal Counsel to support the bank's consumer lending division. You will advise on mortgage documentation, consumer credit regulations, and loan recovery processes, ensuring compliance with Icelandic consumer protection standards.
Responsibilities
Draft and review mortgage agreements, personal loan documentation, and credit terms. Advise on compliance with consumer protection and responsible lending obligations. Handle loan restructuring and debt recovery proceedings. Monitor legislative changes affecting consumer financial products.
Requirements
Cand.Jur. or equivalent law degree. 3-5 years of experience in consumer finance, mortgage lending, or banking law. Knowledge of the Consumer Credit Act and Housing Finance Fund regulations. Icelandic fluency required.
