Job Description
Junior Legal Officer — Procurement & Contracts
Qatar Airways Group is hiring a Junior Legal Officer to join its Procurement Legal team at the headquarters near Hamad International Airport. You will review and draft commercial contracts for the airline's global procurement activities, covering catering, ground handling, IT services, and airport operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and draft commercial contracts for procurement of goods and services
- Advise on vendor agreements, service level agreements, and master supply contracts
- Conduct legal due diligence on suppliers and service providers
- Assist with dispute resolution for procurement-related claims
- Maintain the Legal Division's contract management database and template library
- Support the legal team on ad hoc matters including sponsorship agreements and brand partnerships
Responsibilities
- Process procurement contracts within agreed turnaround times
- Flag legal risks to senior counsel and recommend mitigating actions
- Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, and Operations departments
- Maintain filing and tracking systems for legal agreements
- Prepare monthly reports on contract activity for the General Counsel
Requirements
- LLB from a recognised university; LLM an advantage
- 1-3 years PQE in commercial contracts or corporate law
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills in English
- Attention to detail and ability to handle high volume of contracts
- Qualified in any recognised jurisdiction
- Interest in aviation and international business
