Job Description
Ignitis Group, Lithuania's largest energy company and a leading Baltic energy group listed on Nasdaq Vilnius, is seeking a Legal Counsel for our Energy & Regulatory practice. You will advise on energy law matters, regulatory compliance, and the legal aspects of Lithuania's ambitious energy transition.
The role involves working with the Energetikos istatymas (Law on Energy), Elektros energetikos istatymas (Law on Electricity), and Atsinaujinanciu istekliu energetikos istatymas (Law on Renewable Energy). You will support Ignitis Group's investments in offshore wind, solar energy, and smart grid infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Advise on regulatory compliance for Ignitis Group's electricity generation, distribution, and supply activities. Support offshore wind and renewable energy project development from a legal perspective. Prepare submissions and represent the company before VERT. Draft and negotiate power purchase agreements, energy supply contracts, and grid connection agreements. Advise on EU energy legislation including the Clean Energy Package and Fit for 55.
Requirements
Teises magistras or equivalent law degree. 3-6 years of experience in energy law, regulatory affairs, or corporate law. Knowledge of the Energetikos istatymas and Lithuanian energy regulation. Experience with VERT (National Energy Regulatory Council) proceedings preferred. Fluent in Lithuanian and English.
