Position Overview
Job Description
NNPC Limited seeks a Legal Officer for the Compliance & Corporate Governance unit. The role focuses on ensuring NNPC’s compliance with the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA), the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) 2021, anti-corruption legislation and internal governance frameworks following NNPC’s transformation into a limited liability company.

Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with corporate governance codes and statutory requirements
- Preparing board papers, resolutions and statutory filings
- Advising on anti-corruption and anti-bribery compliance
- Conducting internal governance reviews and compliance audits
- Liaising with the Corporate Affairs Commission and other regulatory bodies
Requirements
- LL.B and B.L. with admission to the Nigerian Bar
- 4-7 years post-call experience in corporate governance, compliance or regulatory law
- Knowledge of CAMA 2020, PIA 2021 and anti-corruption legislation (ICPC Act, EFCC Act)
- Experience in corporate secretarial practice preferred
- Strong organisational and communication skills
Compensation
₦700,000 - ₦1,000,000/month
