Job Description
Mopani Copper Mines is recruiting a Legal Officer specialising in labour relations for its Kitwe and Mufulira operations on the Copperbelt. You will handle employment disputes, collective bargaining agreements and compliance with the Industrial and Labour Relations Act for one of Zambia's largest mining employers.
Responsibilities
- Advise on employment contracts, disciplinary procedures and terminations
- Represent Mopani at the Industrial Relations Court in Kitwe
- Negotiate with the National Union of Miners and Allied Workers (NUMAW)
- Draft collective bargaining agreements and HR policies
Requirements
- LLB and admitted to the Zambian Bar
- 2–4 years experience in labour law, employment law or industrial relations
- Experience with trade union negotiations and Industrial Relations Court proceedings preferred
