About the Role
You will draft legislation, ministerial decrees, and policy memoranda in the field of criminal law and criminal procedure. The role involves advising the Minister on legislative proposals, coordinating with the Raad van State (Council of State), participating in parliamentary proceedings, and ensuring compliance with EU directives and the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR).
Requirements
- Meester in de rechten with a specialisation in criminal law or public law
- 3-8 years of experience in legislative drafting or legal policy
- Excellent knowledge of Dutch constitutional law and the legislative process
- Experience with the Aanwijzingen voor de regelgeving (instructions for legislative drafting)
- Dutch nationality or EU citizenship with excellent Dutch language skills
- Knowledge of EU criminal law cooperation (Eurojust, European Arrest Warrant)

- Civil service salary scale 12-13: EUR 5,500 to EUR 8,500 per month
