You will lead complex enforcement proceedings against banks, securities dealers, and unlicensed financial intermediaries, including market abuse investigations and AML violations. This role offers the opportunity to shape Swiss financial market regulation through precedent-setting enforcement actions.

What You Will Do

  • Lead enforcement proceedings from investigation through final ruling
  • Conduct interviews, analyze evidence, and draft enforcement decisions
  • Represent FINMA in proceedings before the Federal Administrative Court (BVGer) and Federal Tribunal (BGer)
  • Coordinate with criminal authorities (OAG) and international supervisory bodies on cross-border enforcement
  • Advise on market abuse, insider trading, and unauthorized financial activities

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage enforcement proceedings against financial market participants
  • Conduct investigations into potential breaches of financial market law
  • Draft enforcement rulings and represent FINMA in court proceedings
  • Collaborate with domestic and international authorities on cross-border matters
  • Contribute to FINMA's enforcement policy and precedent development

Requirements

  • Swiss Anwaltspatent required
  • 7-10 years of experience in enforcement, financial regulation, or white-collar investigations
  • Deep knowledge of FINMAG, BankG, BEHG/FinMIA, and Swiss criminal law relevant to financial markets
  • Fluent in German and French; English required
  • Litigation experience before Swiss federal courts
  • Experience in banking, securities regulation, or financial crime
