Job Description
Senior Legal Counsel – Telecom Regulation
SK Group is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel to support SK Telecom's regulatory and legal affairs from SK Building, Jongno-gu, Seoul. As Korea's largest mobile carrier and a pioneer in AI and 6G, SK Telecom faces complex regulatory challenges from the Korea Communications Commission (KCC) and Ministry of Science and ICT.

Key Responsibilities
- Advise SK Telecom on telecommunications regulation under the Telecommunications Business Act and Network Utilisation Act
- Represent SK Telecom in regulatory proceedings before the Korea Communications Commission (KCC) on tariff approvals, spectrum allocation, and interconnection disputes
- Advise on data protection compliance under 개인정보보호법 (PIPA) and the Network Act for SK Telecom's subscriber data and AI services
- Support M&A and strategic partnership transactions in the media, content, and AI sectors
- Monitor emerging regulations on AI governance, platform regulation, and 6G spectrum policy
Requirements
- Korean 변호사 licence with 6-10 years of telecom, technology, or regulatory law experience
- Deep knowledge of Korean telecommunications regulations and KCC/MSIT procedures
- Experience advising on data privacy, AI governance, or platform regulation
- English proficiency for international coordination; government relations experience is a plus
