Job Description
The Bank of Tanzania seeks a Senior Legal Officer to work within the Legal Services Department on monetary policy legislation and regulatory frameworks. The role involves drafting and reviewing legislation, providing legal opinions to the Governor and Board, coordinating with the Attorney General's Office on financial sector bills, and ensuring BOT's regulatory instruments comply with international best practices.

Requirements
LLB from a recognized university, LLM preferred. Admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania. Minimum 7 years' experience in legislative drafting, financial regulation, or public sector law. Experience working with government agencies or regulatory bodies. Strong understanding of central banking law and international financial standards (Basel frameworks). Tanzanian citizenship required.
