Job Description
State Counsel – Civil Division
The Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) is seeking a State Counsel for its Civil Division, located near the Supreme Court in the Civic District. You will represent the Government of Singapore in civil proceedings and provide legal advice to government ministries and statutory boards on a wide range of public law matters.

Key Responsibilities
- Represent the Government in civil litigation before the High Court, Court of Appeal, and tribunals
- Advise government ministries and statutory boards on constitutional law, administrative law, and public policy legal issues
- Draft legal opinions on government contracts, procurement disputes, and public-private partnerships
- Handle judicial review proceedings and advise on the exercise of statutory powers
- Support legislative drafting and review of subsidiary legislation as required
Requirements
- Admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore
- 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in litigation, public law, or government advisory
- Strong knowledge of constitutional and administrative law principles
- Excellent legal research, drafting, and advocacy skills
- Singapore citizen or permanent resident
