About the Role
You will prepare and present cases before the Trial and Appeals Chambers of the ICC, conduct witness examinations, draft legal submissions, and provide legal advice on matters of international criminal law, international humanitarian law, and human rights law. You will work on active investigations and trials involving genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in law (LL.M. or equivalent) with specialisation in international criminal law
- Minimum 7 years of trial advocacy experience in criminal law
- Demonstrated experience in international criminal tribunals (ICC, ICTY, ICTR, or hybrid courts)
- Excellent knowledge of the Rome Statute and ICC Rules of Procedure and Evidence
- Fluency in English or French; knowledge of both is highly desirable
- Experience with victim and witness protection issues
