Position Overview
Job Description
Al Tamimi & Company is seeking an Associate to join its Construction & Infrastructure practice from the Al-Hamra Tower office in Sharq, Kuwait City. Kuwait's New Kuwait 2035 Vision is driving massive infrastructure investment, from the South Al-Mutlaa residential city to the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port, creating unprecedented demand for construction law expertise in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise employers, contractors, and subcontractors on FIDIC-based construction contracts for Kuwait mega-projects
- Handle construction claims, delay analysis, and variation disputes
- Represent clients in DIAC and ICC arbitration proceedings for construction disputes
- Draft and negotiate EPC, design-build, and BOT agreements under Kuwait's PPP framework
- Advise on Kuwait's Public Works Law and municipal building regulations
Requirements
- LLB from a recognised university; LLM in Construction Law or International Arbitration preferred
- Licensed by the Kuwait Bar Association or a common law jurisdiction with GCC experience
- 3-6 years PQE in construction law or international arbitration
- Familiarity with FIDIC contract suite and delay analysis methodologies
- Bilingual Arabic/English
