Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP is seeking an Associate for its internationally recognized Mining practice at its Vancouver office. British Columbia is home to Canada's largest mining sector, and you will advise mining companies on project development, regulatory compliance, and Indigenous consultation across Western Canada.

- Advise on mining project development, permitting, and environmental assessment under the BC Mines Act and Environmental Assessment Act
- Draft and negotiate joint venture agreements, option agreements, and royalty agreements for mining projects
- Advise on Indigenous consultation requirements and duty to consult obligations under Canadian constitutional law
- Prepare regulatory filings for the BC Securities Commission and TSX Venture Exchange for mining issuers
- Support M&A transactions in the mining sector, including hostile bids and plan of arrangement proceedings
Requirements
- Called to the Bar in BC (LSBC member)
- 3-5 years post-call experience in mining, natural resources, or corporate law
- JD or LLB from a recognized law school
- Understanding of BC mining regulations and Indigenous law an asset
- Experience with TSX-V disclosure requirements preferred
