Job Description
First Quantum Minerals is seeking a Legal Counsel to support mining operations at its Kansanshi Mine near Solwezi, North-Western Province. You will handle mining agreements, land access negotiations, environmental compliance and community development agreements for one of Africa's largest copper-gold operations.

Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate mining agreements, contractor contracts and surface rights agreements
- Advise on compliance with the Mines and Minerals Development Act and Environmental Management Act
- Handle community development agreements and resettlement legal matters
- Manage litigation and dispute resolution proceedings
Requirements
- LLB; LLM in mining, environmental or commercial law preferred
- Admitted to the Zambian Bar (ZIALE qualified)
- 3–5 years experience in mining, natural resources or commercial law
- Willingness to be based in Solwezi
